Church event again

最近は毎日忙しく充実した毎日を送っています。
These days, I have spent a daily that was fulfilling.

インサーン先主催の起業家精神啓蒙ワークショップに参加したり、
I attended the workshop for entreprenuurship held by the company of my intern,

所属会社の忘年会に参加させていただいたり、
I joined the year end party of my company,

今週はインターン先のCEOの方主催のThanks Giving　Dayに行ってまいりました。
I attended the party for thanks giving day held by the CEO of my intern program,

当初は、週末土曜日にとある場所で１５０人位のパーティーがあるから来ないかと誘われました。
First of all, I was told " Will you join the party for around 150 people on this saturday?"

そして着いた場所がここ。教会関係らしき場所でした。。
And this is the place that I arrived, it's the place related to church.

黄色の衣装を着ているのが主催者＆主賓で、青色の衣装は親戚等の身近な人です。
The people who were wearing the yellow and blue clothe are the organizer and their relatives.


以前にも投稿しましたが、ここの教会の特徴はとにかく長いんです。
As I posted before, the praying time is very long in this country.

平均は３～４時間で時には夜通しのお祈りもあるそうです。
The average time is around 3 or 4 hours and there are sometimes overnight pray.

これを聞いてからは、正直自分はこういった場所が苦手なので敬遠をしていました。
After I heard this, I avoided this kind of situation because I'm not so religious person.

さて、１２時半ころ来るように言われていたので、着いたのは１２時半でしたが、
I got there around half passed 12 because I was told to do so,

すでにその時点で３時間が経過していたようです。
3 hours have passed  at that time since they started.

そこで、司祭の方であったり、主催者の一人であるCEOが話をしていました。
（というかほぼ叫びに近い）
The pastor and CEO one of the organizer were talking about something.( For me, They were shouting.)

そして、もちろんそのスピーチの合間には、おそらくその人達の間では有名とおぼしき歌が流れ、
They sung a song loudly and danced with playing big drums between their speech,

みんな歌を歌い、踊ったり、太鼓を大音響でドンドン鳴らしたりと前回の教会も驚きましたが、

今回もなかなか想像を超えたパーティーでした。
I was really surprised at the things of the previous church and this one was beyond my expectation.

そして、出席者の方々はほぼ黒人の方ということもあり、
The attendees are almost blacks,

スピーチおよび歌の言語はズールー語＆ツワナ語＆ほんの少し英語という非常に難解な言葉でした。
the spoken languages are mixture of Zulu, Setswana and quite a little English.

話の内容は殆どわかりませんでしたが、Thanks Giving Dayの一環として今年一年の感謝、
I couldn't understand at all, but their pray was for all over the years that is one of the thanks giving day.

これからの感謝に関するお祈りだったそうです。

そして、CEOからは皆に教会のイベントって言うと人が来ないから
And CEO told that nobody wants to come here if they are told it's church event,

敢えてその事は言わずパーティーと称して開催したそうです。
so she didn't tell anything about the party and tell just it's party.

熱心なキリスト教徒ばかりではないんだとホッと安心するとともに、やっぱりそうだよねと納得もしました。
I relieved there are not only religious people, and consented to these circumstances.

そして、お昼ごはんを頂いた後、ランチ前に退席していた主催者は衣装をチェンジをして再登場。
The organizer including our CEO changed their clothe after the lunch.

衣装チェンジもするの！？と結婚式のような形式でした。
It was a kind of wedding because they changed them and sung a song etc...

そして、あまりの大音響といつ終わるか分からない恐怖感から、
Because of the loudness and the fear that I don't know what time they will finish,

人がパラパラと帰っていた流れに合わせて帰りました。
I went home with following the flow that some people were going out.

正直あまりの大音響に自分は頭がどうかなりそうでしたが、
To be honest, I'm not so good at listening the lound music,

この人達は本当に大音響の音楽・ダンスが好きなんだなとまざまざと見せつけられた出来事でした。
the party told me that they loved their music and dance very much.
