IELTS and football game in SOWETO

かなり調子が戻ってまいりました。
I'm feeling quite better now.

というのもこの金曜日のソースカツ丼食べたり、
The reason was I could eat source katsu don,

ヨハネスブルグの日本食屋さん　きちんと日本人がやっていて味もバッチリ！
This is the Japanese restaurant managed by Japanese and they provide really nice food.

この週末にジャズライブに行けたからです。
and went to Jazz bar as well on this weekend.

ブラームフォンテーンという学生街の中にあるジャズライブ
入場料がなんと千円！飲み物入れても２千円と格安！ほぼ毎日やっています。
Jazz bar is in braanfontein near the central.
It cost me R 100 and R 200 including drinks. They are openin almost every day.

ということで、もう２週間ほど前のことですが、IELTS行ってまいりました。
I went to take the exam to evaluate my English skill two weeks ago.

本当はTOEICのほうが良いのですが残念ながらこの国ではやっていないんです。。。
I prefer to take TOEIC, but they don't provide in this country.

そして値段が２万円ちょっともするというなかなか気軽に受験できないんです。
A test fee was around R 2000, so it's too expensive to take it often.

行ってみると、ほぼ白人ばかりでスタッフは黒人というこの国ではよくありがちなシチュエーション。
At the test centre, there are so many white examinees and black staffs that we can see this situation many times in this country.

おそらく皆さんイギリスorオーストラリアに留学する予定で受けに来てるんだと思います。
I think they had a test for studying abroad such as UK or Australia.

リスニング（赤外線で通信するヘッドホン）に始まり、リーディング。
The first section was listening and then reading.


そして作文です。
And a essay was held as writing test.

問題は
The problem was

①　最近の子供は屋内で遊びがちだっていうけどどう思いますか？
What do you think about the situation that the child is playing inside these days?

②　航空券が最近安いですが、この現象は経済に良いor悪いどちらですか？そしてなぜ？
Is the phenomenon that the fright ticket is becoming cheap good or bad for the economy? Why?


さらに引き続き面接。
And the following section was interview as a speaking test.

簡単な自己紹介から紙を渡されてそれについての意見を言ってと言われる。
After the introduction myself, the opinion about the document was requested.

自分の時は男女の考えの差異についてでした。
In my document, it was about the differences of the thinking of men and women.

とまぁこんな感じでおよそ３時間でした。
It takes around four hours.

TOEIC程時間に焦らされたりはしませんでしたが、英語の総合力を問われるので非常に難しかったです。。
The test time was not rushing me, but it's very difficult for me because the test was evaluating of my comprehensive skill.

そしてスコアアップするにはスキルの底上げが必要という・・・。一朝一夕では行きませんね。
To get the high score is requiring to improve all of them...It's impossible in a short period of time

そして気になる結果ですが、、
And the resul was ...

５．５でした。IELTSのHPによればこのスコアの人は
5..5... ( highest score is 9.0)  According to the IELTS HP, the 5.5 means

不正確さ、不適切さおよび誤解がいくらか見られるものの、概して効果的に英語を駆使する能力を有している。特になれた状況においては、かなり複雑な言語を使いこなすことができる
the examinee has generally effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies,
inappropriacies and misunderstandings. Can use and understand fairly complex language; particularly in familiar situations


だそうです。

お恥ずかしい点数です。これからもっとインターンでの仕事で高めていきたいと思います。
I think it is shameful score...very bad.. In my intern period, I'll do my best to improve my skill.

目標は高く８．０！（到達できるかかなり不安ではありますが。。）
The goal score is 8.0! ( However, I'm very anxious to achieve it or not...


そして、先日SOWETOと呼ばれるタウンシップで開催されたサッカーの試合に行ってきました。
（もちろん同僚と）
I went to the football game at SOWETO around 2 weeks ago with my co-worker.

値段は600円くらいととっても安い！これなら何回でも来れます。
The entrance fee was around R 60 ! It's very cheap. I can join whenever I want.

そしてサッカーの試合の周りでは色々食べ物も売っていて、
There are so many food around the stadium,

タウンシップ近くということでどれも安い。サンドイッチセットのようなものが100円だったり。。
it is very cheap such as R 10 sandwich because it's in township.

スタジアムは2010年W杯決勝戦が行われた場所。
とはいえ、一人では危なくて来れません。

先日のラグビーの試合では白人が殆どでしたが、今回は90%以上が黒人でした。
The audience at the rugby game was almost whites, but it's almost black this time.

途中のガソリンスタンドで給油してるときに、
When I went to gas station on the way,

これからSOWETOダービー（ホーム同士なのでそう呼ばれている）見に行くんだーって言ったら、
I talked the staff that I'm going to SOWETO derby now,

え！まじ？あなたが？みたいな反応されたのものまた面白かったです。
And then they said, Are you sure? you? It was really famous for black people.

試合は、両者ともSOWETO出身の人気チームとあってかなりの人手でした。

There are lots of people because both teams are from SOWETO.

そして点数が入ったらみんな大騒ぎ！
They were very exited once the team made a goal.

裸になる人も。。

ハイッタチしたり、踊ったり歌ったり。
They were singing and dancing.

本当にみんな楽しんでいて思わず自分もとっても幸せな気分になりました。
They were enjoyed very much, so it made me very happy.

結果は２－１と同僚がサポートするチームが見事に勝ちました。
The score was 2 - 1 and the team supported by my co-worker won the game.

帰り道もみんな相当楽しんだようで歌いながら帰る人、勝ったね！やったねとハイタッチしながら帰る人などなど
On the way home, many people were singing and dancing with high touch.

とても大盛り上がりでこれがこの黒人の人達のメインスポーツなんだ、本当に好きなんだなぁと
I understood this is most popular sports for blacks and they really love this sports.

わかったのと、自分も心のそこから楽しむことが出来ました。
And I enjoyed myself very much as well

いつの日か自分の会社がサッカーのスポンサーになってスタジアムに会社の看板が立つ日が
I hope that my company will become one of the sponsor and provide the company's board at the stadium one day.

来る日が来るように自分も頑張りたいと思いました。
I'll do my best to make it come true.
