等々とても記事に出来そうな事が沢山溜まっておりますが、さほど調子も良くないので
I have many things I want to post. But I'm not still so good,
今回はジンバブエ出張について書きます。
so I'll write things about Zimbabwe.
ジンバブエと言われて何を思い浮かべますか？殆どの人がおそらくこれではないでしょうか。
What do you know about Zimbabwe? I think most Japanese think about this.

| 9月から回収が始まったようです |
ハイパーインフレが進行して紙幣が紙くず同然になったというのを社会の教科書で見た記憶があります。（一番上の紙幣は5兆ジンバブエドルで、空港でおみやげ品として売ってました。）
A result of a hyper inflation, the money was almost wastepaper. I've heard this story in my textbook when I was high school student.
今はもう使えなくて、制度上は9つの通貨が使えるという事になっています。実際はUS$しか見ませんでしたが。
Now we can't use this Zimbabwean dollars, 9 currencies can be applied in their system.
But I've never seen except US dollars.
すごく貧しい国で街中もあまり人気がないのかなぁと勝手に想像していました。
I just expected that there are quite a few people in the town because they are very poor.

There are not a few people in the shopping center.
ただし、やはりここはジンバブエなわけで、

トイレはこんな感じです。
物価は安いのかなと思ったんですが、スーパーの商品はさほど安いこともなく、
I thought the price of the product was low. But it was a little expensive.
牛乳1.7US$、パン一斤1.0US$とそこそこの値段がしておりました。
The milk was 1.7 US$, the bread was 1.0 US$. I think it's more expensive than it in South Africa.

おそらくスーパーで買えない人たちはこういったところで買うのではと思います。
Most of the majority who can't afford to buy any food in a supermarket will buy at these shops.
（残念ながら治安の面からこういった場所にはいけませんでしたが。）
Unfortunately, I couldn't go there because of the security.
そして街はずれにはこういった鉄塔が立っており、有事の際はここから敵から自国民を守るそうです。（本当に自国民だけかね？自国民すらやっつけるのではと勘ぐったりもしますが。）
This is the tower at the edge of the town, the local guy told us it's for using to protect the citizen from the enemy. But I thought it's not only for that situation, but also for attacking their own citizen.
というのも、この国のムカベ大統領は独裁者と称されており、数々の失策・強権政治を行っています。
The reason why is the president in this country is called as dictator who was doing some mistakes and authoritarian politics.
例を挙げれば、土地改革。独立時に白人との共生の道を選ばず、白人を追い出してしまったんです。
We can say it land reform as a example. At the independent time, they didn't choose to live with their white neighbor but chose to chase them from the country.
その結果、それまで白人が支配してきた基幹産業である農業の技術・ノウハウが国外に流出し、一気に衰退。
At the result, the technologies and knowledge for the agriculture as the main industry in Zimbabwe that was supported by whites were flowing out of the country, and the economics was dropping down.
それが引き金となり、ハイパーインフレが起こったと言われています。
This situation could be possible to trigger to occur the hyper inflation.
現在も、外国企業はその資産・株式の51%以上を現地人に譲渡しなければならないという、
Even now, the overseas company have to pass over 51% of their assets to a local people
外国企業にとってとても足かせとなる政策を打ち出しています。
, which is very big burden for them.
他にも選挙で不正をやっているとか、野党を徹底的に排除するとか虐殺疑惑等々挙げれば
And I found some article shown that the election was promoted illegally, they chased the opposite parties and there is suspicion of slaughter and so on...
キリがありません。
さて、お国の事情はこのくらいにして今回の出張の目的ですが、
By the way, the main aim of my business trip to Zimbabwe was
現在お世話になってるインターン先の方に同行してILO（国際労働機関）主催のワークショップに参加してきました。
to join the workshop held by the International Labor Organization with my co-worker in the intern company.
労働ってなに？というところから子供の労働やアフリカの国々がどういう条約に批准しているのか等を
This workshop was held to study about what the labor is, what the child-labor is, and what kind of conventions were assigned by the african countries with the people from other african countries and from other organization such as government and labor union as well.
他のアフリカの国々の人たちと一緒に勉強しようというものです。
対象はアフリカの主要国の政府・労組・経営団体の代表者がきていて、
担当者レベルの人から大臣はたまた王族系の方もいるなど、非常に多様性にあふれた方々でした。
The attendees are a person in charge, minister and royal family, so it was full of a diversity.

At the coffee time, I could talk about my company such as do you know my company? and
あれ？南アフリカ代表で来てるのになんで日本人来てるの？や
why are you Japanese coming here as a representative of South Africa?
他愛もない雑談からアフリカの国々に知人を作ることが出来たとても貴重な機会でした。
It was precious opportunity to get the information and many friends from other African countries.
もちろんご飯があんまり口に合わないとか、お湯・水が出ないとか、
However, the facilities was not so good such as the food was not so good for me, the hot water cannot be available and cold water not as well in my room,
蚊帳がベッドからなぜかかなり離れてる等々不便な場面は多々ありましたが、

上記で述べたようにこの国の国民（というか正確に言えば与党になるんでしょうか）を
In this country, the priority of the policy and act published by the government is the citizen or the ruling party,
再優先させる法律があるのと、政府内で法律の見解が異なるとか都合良く変えてしまう等
and they can change it very easily for their own reason.
あるので政府の動きには十分注意していかなければなりません。
Therefore, we must check their activity all the time.
一方で、US$が使われていること・アフターサービスが未発達とはいえそこに着目して購入する人がいるなど
On the other hand, US dollar is dominant currency,
and there are some people who will buy the electronic product by paying attention to the after service even that it's not so popular that I've heard when I went to some stores.
当社にとっては追い風となるような要素があるのもまた事実なようにも思います。
Therefore they have not only negative element for us, but also enough positive thing.
しかし、そんなに遠くない国でこんなに状況が違うなんて、
Actually more than anything that I was surprised is the country not so far from SA was totally different from SA.
国を導くリーダーの存在が如何に重要かを身にしみて感じているジンバブエ出張となりました。
It was good Zimbabwean business trip which I could fell the importance of a leader in a country.
